Vital - I

As an Emergency Medical Technician, saving lives is a part of my daily life. Vital consistently reminds me that not only are the patients VITAL, but I too am VITAL. Whether I am caring for a sick child with a tummy ache or performing lifesaving CPR, Vital reminds me why I do this job. A heart can shatter and break, but still, continue through the hardest of things. This rings true for not only the patients, but the first responders that go through so much emotion and turmoil every day. Our hearts do lead us, but the best of us lead with it. I believe that Vitals design exhibits the best representation for EMS, in the forefront as well as the subtleties. The ECG lines representing a stable and powerful heart, the anatomical heart showing what is most vital to everyone, the muscle fibers on the reverse side, the medical cross on reverse with a heartbeat of its own, and the color scheme displaying vivacity and power. Every quality of the Vital ZOX, in its cohesive design, make it my favorite and essential to daily wear. Yes, I do have many other ZOX designs that symbolize many amazing things, but Vital stands apart from the others. I have even purchased two of the Vital design for when one needs to be retired. I do not believe that the artist behind the design intended it to mean so much to a member of the EMS community, or even pertain to us, but it does so much! I only wish there were more designs like it. I am always privileged to wear this design and display my love for it.
